    A long forgotten distillery from the eastern highlands area. Not many distilleries in this area survived the culls of the 80’s. Glenesk AKA: Highland Esk/North Esk/Montrose/Hillside only received one famous bottle as part of the Diageo Rare Malts series, a bottle which was incredible, but not enough to bring wavering attention and demand back to this distant place. The distillery building was finally demolished in 1996.
