Glen Garioch is one of the few fully operational distilleries that predates the 1800’s making it the second oldest operational distillery in Scotland. Glen Garioch really flies under the radar when it comes to great value and super high-quality whisky.

The Glen Garioch distillery has had a complex history; it changed hands eight times in a century and a half, was decommissioned in 1968, then changed hands again twice before 1994. In 1995 it was mothballed by its new owners, but thankfully reopened again in 1997 with a shift from peated whisky to unpeated malt. In 2022 the Glen Garioch visitor centre reopened to the public after a £6milion investment including reinstatement of the in house floor maltings and a huge refurb of the visitors centre.
