Miltonduff Distillery
Miltonduff distillery was established in Speyside in 1824, when a distilling licence was obtained by Andrew Peary and Robert Bain. It quickly became one of the highest producing distilleries in Scotland, and was used in many popular blends. By 1974 the capacity was over 5 million litres. Today, Miltonduff distillery is owned by Pernod Ricard, and a Miltonduff 15 Year Old was released under Ballantine’s brand in 2017.
First Cask
First Cask is a series of specially selected single malt whiskies that were bottled as single cask, cask strength bottlings by Direct Wines.
First Cask is a generally undervalued series, with some fine examples of well-aged whiskies from renowned distilleries going for relatively low prices compared to similar ages and vintages from other independent bottlers or official releases.
