Macallan 30 year old Fine Oak
Macallan's 30 year old has always been some of its most popular whisky, and has been part of its core range throughout the years. The Fine oak, triple cask releases ran in the 2010s and this 30 year old was the top of the range of this now discontinued series.
The Macallan 30 year old Fine Oak has come in a range of different presentations throughout the years and this particular label appears to be one of the rarest one. This 30 year old single malt Macallan was created from a combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak, as well as bourbon seasoned American Oak. The Fine Oak range was a lighter approach to Macallan whisky that was originally launched for the US market.
Few brands have the secondary market presence that Macallan has when it comes to both new releases and vintage bottles. Considered by all to be the ultimate collectible whisky, the range that Macallan have released over the years shows have put them at the forefront of super premium whisky. Renowned for their sherry cask maturation and beautiful bottle designs, Macallan have filled the gap of super-premium like no other brand in whisky before. Macallan holds the record for the most expensive bottle of whisky ever sold as well as the most expensive cask of whisky sold at auction.
