Highland Park 1989 Blackadder Raw Cask 14 Year Old
This Highland Park was distilled in 1989 and bottled at 14 years old by Blackadder International as part of their Raw Cask series.
Blackadder Raw Cask is bottled as single cask releases at cask strength, giving a unique slice of pure unfiltered and undiluted Highland Park from the early days of this distillery.
A distillery with a huge reputation and has links, in many ways, to the priesthood (former owners who wanted to sell as it conflicted with their views), smuggling (Magnus Eunson – the original operator of illicit stills on site) and being part of the single malt whisky explosion before the 1980’s. Highland Distillers invested heavily in Highland Park throughout a lot of the late 1970’s, making its sales compete with some of the biggest in the world. Highland Park is now owned by The Edrington Group and boasts one of the first and best visitor’s centres in all of whisky, an education area, and a wealth of whiskies for every type of drinker imaginable.
